iOS app about the worlds quirkiest sport

Cooper's Hill was an iOS game I developed in 2009 using Unity 3D. I had fiddled around with the idea of iOS development for some time, but did not have an idea that I considered to be worthwhile, at least not one that could justify the vast amounts of time I knew I'd have to sink into development. I finally settled upon a physics based racer that took its inspiration from a rather quirky event that takes place in England every year over Spring Bank Holiday, The Glouchestershire Cheese Rolling on Coopers Hill.

Development took the better part of 7 months, mostly taking place durning nights and weekends. All imagery and textures were generated within Photoshop; 3D models were built and textured within Blender 3D; sound was edited/composed within Soundtrack Pro; the entire application came together with C# scripting/logic, gameplay mechanics, rigging and physics simulation within Unity 3D.

The game launched in March of 2010 and received rave reviews. It has since been featured on numerous mobile game review sites, became an addendum to the official Cheese Rolling Wikipedia entry and was even featured on British independent radio. You can listen to the feature here and watch a trailer to the game here:
